At our Burteks1, Burteks2, Burteks3, and Burteks4 Spinning Facilities, our monthly production capacity is 3,300,000 kg, resulting in an annual production of 39,600,000 kg of yarn. This production corresponds to a total annual fiber consumption of 47,000,000 kg. At our Burteks1 and Burteks2 Weaving Plants, our monthly fabric production is 1,450,000 meters, with an annual production capacity of 17,400,000 meters. We use 15% of the yarn produced in our own factories for our weaving operations.
The annual electricity consumption of our facilities under the Burteks umbrella is 110,000 MWh. On average, 35% of this amount, or 4.3 MWh from our cogeneration system and 6.3 MWh from our rooftop solar power systems, is met by our own operations.
With our sustainability vision in every field, we prioritize sustainable and eco-friendly sources, particularly in the cotton fibers we use as our main raw material.
We use A. Lenzing fibers such as Tencel, Refibra Tencel, Lenzing Ecovero, Micro Technology Tencel, Micro Technology Tencel Modal, and Carbon-zero Tencel™ fibers. To ensure that future generations can exist in a livable world, we derive our strength from sustainable sources.
As we bring our goals to life, we are committed to reducing human traces in nature and contributing to social well-being. With our OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification, BCI, CMIA certifications, organic GOTS-OCS certification, GRS and RCS certifications for recycled cotton fibers, as well as SVCOC (Sustainable Viscose Chain of Custody Standard) and REGENAGRI, we are the strongest advocates of sustainability in the quality standards we uphold.
In our ongoing energy investments, renewable energy sources are our sole preference. We generate and use electricity from natural gas.
With our Solar Energy Panels, we aim to prevent environmental harm, minimize any damage, combat global warming, and reduce carbon emissions in nature. To achieve this, we source 40% of our electricity from the sun.
